Rolex Explorer I had its grand debut in 1953. The Rolex series has put through a lot of tough environments. For example, it has resisted the -30℃ coldness in the South Pole, and it has also gone to the 8,000 meter high Mt. Everest. Ordinary watches would never be able to resist such fierce environments but Rolex Explorer I watches can. They are professional and impressive.

The first Rolex Explorer I model in 1953 is Rolex 6150. And in 1956, the second generation of Rolex Explorer I appeared. It was Rolex 6610. Both versions carry the calibre 1030 movement and not much difference was showed between the two Rolex Explorer versions. In about 1966, the third generation of Rolex Explorer I watch was developed – Rolex 1016. It carries the 60′s calibre 1560 movement and changed the golden characters into off-white ones. Even in today’s second-hand watch market, third generation of Rolex Explorer I watch with the 60′s calibre 1016 movement could be found while watches of the first two generations are rarely found.

In 1972, the fourth generation of Rolex Explorer I watches were developed, claiming themselves having stronger functions and smoother characters than the former three generations. The fourth generation of Rolex Explorer I replica watches are equipped with the 80′s calibre 1016 and are believed to enjoy more collectable value than the former ones as the movement is marked with SCOC (Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified).

In 1989, Rolex put forward the Rolex Explorer I reference 14270 watches which are the dominant Explorer I watches until 2001. They carry the calibre 3000 movement and features sapphire crystal glasses which are harder and stronger. When the production of Rolex 14270 stops, Rolex again launched the 114270 models which carry the Calibre 3130 movement and feature minor design difference compared with the Rolex 14270.

From the above we could know that Rolex Explorer I watches are always improving. No wonder they enjoy so much popularity. But their high prices do stop a lot of people from buying them too. And that’s why the replica Rolex watches are enjoying a certain share of the Rolex watch market. If you don’t want to spend much on a timepiece, maybe you could think about the replica Rolex watches. They are satisfying too.
